Linking Human Systems, LLC, is an international company committed to helping individuals, families, communities and organizations access their inherent resilience to overcome difficulties and/or reach their goals.
Linking Human Systems, LLC, offers training and consultation for families and professionals in such areas as: ARISE Invitational Intervention for engaging resistant substance abusers and persons with chronic illness in treatment; prevention and treatment of addiction, depression and suicidality; LINC Community Resilience for enhancing individual, family and community resilience to deal with domestic violence, addiction, trauma, grief and loss, HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses; and LIFE for prevention and management of self-destructive behavior and domestic violence.
We currently are engaged in projects working with agencies, individuals, organizations, governments and educational programs. We train professionals, supervisors and trainers, providing certificate training in some of the protocols.
The underlying model we use is Transitional Family Therapy, a well-established model that has been taught to students in over 80 countries. Transitional Family Therapy works primarily through natural change agents, link therapists or family/community links. Our research, and that of other people in recent years, has demonstrated the importance of connectedness to family and culture of origin, as well as to spirituality. Our mission is to help access and facilitate these link therapists to build a matrix of healing in families and communities by enhancing relational resilience.
The concept is that link therapists have easy access, particularly in communities or traditional extended families where professional intervention is neither invited nor welcomed. Transitional Family Therapy is here-and-now, intergenerational and ecosystemic and it emphasis is on empowering individuals and families to take charge of their own direction in order to achieve their goals. We believe that disconnectedness perpetuates trauma and a state of dis-ease. For healing to occur from molecular to cosmic level, there needs to be true collaboration and a matrix of support and connectedness across the bio-psycho-socio-cultural-spiritual system.
Linking Human Systems started with the mission of extending all the protocols that we have developed and tested over the years to reach more families, communities and countries where we have seen the need for this approach to healing. Later, we hope that people who share our philosophy will join us and develop their protocols within the umbrella of our organization.
