Gifford Smith

Gifford "Giff" Smith is a Board Registered Interventionist II specializing in individual, family and executive interventions, and maintains a private practice as an independent Interventionist with no financial ties with any treatment center. This allows him to suggest, without any conflicts of interest, the best possible treatment options for the unique situation of every client. Although Gifford resides in Westlake Village, California, he travels nationally and internationally providing his life-saving, family-saving service of "compassionate solution-focused intervention."

With over 29 years experience as an Interventionist and clergyman, specializing in "spirituality and recovery," Gifford is a graduate of the University of Redlands (B.A.), the University of Santa Monica (M.A.), United Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and holds a Certificate in Alcohol & Drug Counseling from UCLA. He is a Board Registered Interventionist II (BRI II) and a board member of the internatiional Association of Interventions Specialists (AIS).

In addition to being a prominent interventionist and expert on "spirituality and recovery," Giff has presented presentations and trainings at conferences, professional groups and general audiences throughout the country.

Giff is a member of NAATP, CAMFT, NAADAC, EAPA and AIS. He serves as co-convener of the Conejo Valley Interfaith Association and as Minister of Spirituality and Recovery for the United Church of Christ.
